Game Designer and Programmer

Simon Furrer
I am a game developer from Switzerland and recently I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Game Design) in Perth, Australia.
Even though I learnt a lot about game design, 3D modelling, animation, and sound editing and integration, the field that interests me most is programming, particularly using C# in Unity. I have successfully worked on both solo and group projects, in university and within the industry. Please see some examples of my projects below.
I consider myself an international person, having gone to school in Switzerland, Sierra Leone, and Zambia, and having done my studies in Australia. Interacting with such a large range of people and cultures has helped me develop strong communication, organisation and problem solving skills, all of which are important when working within a team environment.
About Me
Projects
Here's a short overview of the major projects I worked on.
For more info please check out the individual pages.
The Way Home is a short 2.5D platformer in which the player plays as a Numbat, an Australian marsupial on the brink of extinction, trying to reach its home. Along the way the player encounters dangers introduced by humans, such as feral cats, and also tries to collect food to feed the numbat's young.
Loot Nubs is a mobile game in which the player controls silly loot-crazed potato-like people on the search for epic loot, while also growing their settlement to hold more of this loot and train larger armies to send on the most noble of quests: loot gathering.
Return is a top-down twin-stick shooter in a science fiction setting in which the player controls an alien returning to their home planet after a long absence. The inhabitants have been wiped out by the human empire that has stretched across the galaxy, and the player has to fight through the remnants of the human army and discover the reason why the planet was attacked.
